Predefined purpose of life.

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

We keep finding the purpose of our lives. We think that there must be a reason that god has sent us on this earth and we spent almost a major part of our lives thinking about that reason.

Then, we start creating false assumptions about what our life purpose is. Sometimes we think that the main purpose of life is “to be happy”. Then how do we find that happiness? There are various ways through which we think we can be happy like:

1. Hanging out with friends.

2. Partying every weekend.

3. Buying expensive things.

4. Going on a date.

5. Etc

But does any of this really makes us happy or do they just create an illusion of happiness? Read more

  1. Any of us can, at times, feel lost and directionless. I think, however, the worthwhile purposes you’ve mentioned (helping the needy, fighting for injustice) all fall w/i God’s purpose for our lives. They stand in sharp contrast to the self-centered (and ultimately empty) approach many take toward life. Of course, we can always ask God in prayer, if we are living out the purpose He intended for us. ❤

  2. Eventually, after a life of much ups and downs, we reach a point of wanting to understand. It is who we are. We poke and prod many things, emotionally, physically and eventually spiritually. We want meaning in our lives, and among that is to love and be loved.
And that is where the secret resides. While ever our fears are tucked away, avoided, niggling away at those things above…our emotional walls will stay intact. And in doing so hold us apart from the very thing we seek, that love and happiness we want in our lives. While ever we hold those fears, we cannot give that love truly to another, and especially ourselves. While ever we are angry, we give out anger. While ever we are sad, we give out sadness. While ever we are fearful, we will give out our fear. It is that simple. Until we face our fears and ‘understand’ what they are built from, only then will they lose their power over us. And the day that we do understand, we will see a beauty beyond anything that can be imagined. It will be the day we stand in our truth and love the one person we have struggled to since day one….us.
And your world will be changed forever, finally finding the missing piece to your life’s puzzle. And it is designed exactly as it is so that after enduring so much in our lives, we will in that understanding, appreciate what it has taken us to do to find that missing piece and realise that love ❤️

  3. The quote by Eleanor Roosevelt is the crux of the story, without doubt.
What is the point of a brainstorming session to find the purpose, when the purpose of one’s life is to live and do what one likes..
